Gillingham Football Club, Executive Boxes

Having worked with Gillingham Football Club on several previous occasions, Bauvill were approached to design and deliver an upgrade project of the club’s corporate executive boxes. These boxes are a vital part of the commercial hospitality offering at GFC, often sold for an entire season or match-by-match basis, meaning we had to ensure the final product exceeded customer expectation. The existing boxes were dated and originally fitted out over a decade ago, which meant a full strip out and make good was required before we could proceed with the improvement project. Added to the challenge was the requirement for the boxes to be complete before the start of the 23/24 season, giving us a short window of opportunity to complete the project with a deadline looming.

Once the boxes had been fully stripped and all walls, ceilings and floors were made good, the initial task was implementing the design of the kitchen areas and cabinetry which form a focal point of each box. The idea was to give this area a modern sleek look whilst delivering on operational requirements which would be robust enough to last for years to come. Equally important was the fit out of new toilets which included flooring, sanitary ware and decorations. The full scope of deliverables included:

The final boxes were complete and handed over before the club’s first friendly fixture of the 23/24 season, ahead of schedule whilst delivering over and above all design and specified requirements. The club’s new owners were delighted with the final product which has led to discussions about further improvement projects around Priestfield Stadium which Bauvill will undertake. We look forward to working with GFC on the club’s regeneration project, both on and off the pitch through a partnership that we hope will continue for years to come.
