Remodelling of main reception, conversion of existing gymnasium and provision of new dance studio, changing facilities and classrooms.
Bauvill's Education team were tasked with delivering the new refurbishment of the existing main reception at Invicta Grammar School in Maidstone to accommodate increased pupil numbers from the original 1960's design. Included within the scope of works was the conversion of an adjoining gymnasium into a new dance studio, changing facilities and classrooms. Due to the prominence of this location within the school, emphasis was placed on the logistical planning to ensure deliveries and movements were scheduled out of busy drop-off and pick-up times whilst restricting noisy works throughout. Early engagement with the Trust and wider project group was imperative to gain an understanding of the school's day-to-day operations and how we could implement our ways of working to suit the surrounding environment.

The final handover was delivered to a high spec to suit the entire school. Each section of the project was undertaken in strict segregation to ensure pupil and staff safety whilst maintaining an open-line of communication with the Trust and neighbouring departments. It has been our pleasure working with the Trust to deliver these projects which will serve future generations of students in our local community.
